where can I find cookie icing recipe?

Sweet Pea posts: My Grandma used to make holiday cookies and, using a kids paintbrush, “paint” them w/ a very thin icing (like the icing on gingerbread men) before adding any other decoration.I’m wanting the recipe,but have no idea what it’s called,much less know where to find it.Can anyone help please?
