My family and I lived in Japan for 7 years. While living there, the first course of many meals was a delicous corn soup. The soup was creamy, very smooth without any whole kernals in it. It was similar to a corn chowder, but not so heavy on the cream. I have tried several of the “instant” brands from Asian markets, but they are not nearly as good. If anyone has a recipe for something like it, I am dying to make it for the holidays!!

I am planning to have this as one of my side dishes on Thanksgiving. The less ingredients the better, but also the more calories the better. Hey its a holiday, who cares about calories.

I tried this virgin cocktail on holiday in a hotel in Cambridge, England, and absolutely loved it! It’s made with mint, passion fruit, and soda water, but that’s all I know. I’m addicted now, and would love to have the recipe. Does anyone know how to make it, or where I would find it?

My boyfriend volunteered our house to have his family over, and this is the first time I’ve ever had to make a Christmas dinner. (Remind me to thank him later….) I have no idea what I am doing! How much should I make? Is there anything that I could possible prepare a day or so a head of time? What should I expect? Any good holiday recipes? Or any good websites to get recipes from?
